Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
Single use, non-rechargeable batteries must
never be recharged.
Before Initial Use
Removing / charging /
inserting the battery pack
Note: The battery packed is delivered partly charged.
Charge the battery pack with the included charger,
ideally for a minimum of 3 hours. This will ensure
the battery delivers full power. Li-Ion batteries can
be charged at any time without reducing the life. In-
terrupting the charging process does not damage
the rechargeable battery.
1. To remove the rechargeable battery pack

press the release buttons 2 and slide the bat-
tery pack 1 out of the unit.
2. Insert the battery pack 1 into the charger 13 .
3. Insert the mains plug into the mains socket. The
charge indicator 11 will light up red.
4. The green charge indicator 12 shows charging
is complete and the battery pack 1 is ready
for use.
5. Slide the battery pack 1 into the unit.
Checking the battery charge
The battery LED 10 indicates the status or remain-
ing charge as:
RED/ YELLOW/ GREEN = maximum charge/ power
RED/ YELLOW = medium charge/ power
RED = low charge – recharge battery

Note! Always switch the hand grinder on before
applying it to the material, then apply.
Switching the unit on:
Press the ON / OFF switch 9 .
Switching the unit off:
Press the ON / OFF switch 9 .
Q Vacuum dust extraction
DANGER OF FIRE! There is
the danger of fire when working with electrical
devices that have a dust box or can be connected
to a vacuum cleaner. Under certain conditions the
wood dust in the dust extraction bag (or in the
vacuum‘s dust bag) may ignite, e.g. as a result of
flying sparks generated when abrading metals or
metal objects left in wood. This can happen par-
ticularly if the wood dust is mixed with paint resi-
due or other chemicals and the abraded particles
are hot from prolonged abrasion. Therefore you
must empty the device’s dust collection box and the
vacuum cleaner’s dust bag before taking a break
or stopping work and always avoid overheating of
the abraded particles and the device.

vacuum extraction
Mounting:
Slide the dust box for self-generated dust ext-
raction
5b up to the stop on the hand sander.
Removal:
  Press the release button 6 of the dust extraction
box for internal vacuum extraction 5b and
withdraw it towards the rear of the device.
Note: Empty the dust collector in good time in or-
der to ensure the optimum removal of
5b dust by
suction.
To do so, remove the dust box 5b from the de-
vice as described above. Open the dust box
by pulling on the tab
5a and remove the cover.
Now tap both parts to thoroughly clean them.
