Adjusting the scald protection

(Fig. C)

Cartridge 8 of this fitting has a scald protection.
This function is not activated at the factory (neutral
setting).
CAUTION!

Do not alter the scald protection adjust-

ment until you have mounted the fitting.

1.

Turn off the main water supply. Allow
the remaining water in the line to drain
off.

2.

Remove the hot / cold plaque 4 by moving the
handle 2 into the open position, and press this
plaque out carefully from the inside using a long,
flat object. Unscrew the locking screw 3 with
the Allen key 17 counter-clockwise.

3.

Pull the handle 2 off to the side.

4.

Unscrew the cartridge cover ring 5 .

5.

Loosen the cartridge circlip 6 beneath it, and
pull the entire cartridge 8 out of the fitting
body.

6.

To reduce the hot water flow rate:

Insert

the adjusting ring 7 again, offset acc. Figure
C/1.

7.

To limit the hot water flow rate comple-
tely:

Mount the adjusting ring 7 acc. Figure

C/2.

8.

To deactivate the hot water flow rate
limitation:

Mount the adjusting ring 7 acc.

Figure C/3, neutral position.

9.

Mount the cartridge after adjustment of the scald
protection; to do this, reinsert the cartridge into
the fitting body. Ensure correct assembly of the
seal under the cartridge. Ensure that the guides
are located in the holes provided.

10.

Tighten the cartridge circlip 6 firmly, and then
unscrew the cartridge cover ring 5 .

11.

Then mount the handle 2 with the locking screw

3 and press the hot / cold plaque 4 into the

handle 2 .

12.

Subsequent to assembly, check the tightness of
the fitting in the area of the lever.

•Maintenance and cleaning

Replacing the cartridge

The cartridge 8 is a wear part which has to be
exchanged at the latest every 2 years.
Otherwise, malfunctions and leakages may occur. You
can procure a new cartridge 8 at the given service
address.

In order to replace cartridge 8 , proceed as follows:

1.

Turn off the main water supply. Allow
the remaining water in the line to drain
off.

2.

Remove the hot / cold plaque 4 by moving
the handle 2 into the uppermost position, and
press this plaque out carefully from the inside
using a long, flat object. Unscrew the locking
screw 3 with the Allen key 17 counter-clock-
wise.

3.

Pull the handle 2 off to the side.

4.

Unscrew the cartridge cover ring 5 .

5.

Loosen the cartridge circlip 6 beneath it, and
pull the entire cartridge 8 out of the fitting
body.

6.

Insert the new cartridge into the fitting body.
Ensure correct assembly of the seal under the
cartridge. Ensure that the guides are located in
the holes provided.

7.

Tighten the cartridge circlip 6 firmly, and then
unscrew the cartridge cover ring 5 .

8.

Then mount the handle 2 with the locking screw

3 and press the hot / cold plaque 4 into the

handle 2 .

9.

Subsequent to assembly, check the tightness of
the fitting in the area of the lever.
