9 USING THE TRIMMER AS AN EDGER
Before making this change, make sure that the device is switched off and
completely separated from the power mains.
For edging driveways and paths, transform the trimmer from trimmer mode to edging mode
as follows:

Push the adjusting button (10) on the motor
housing and then rotate the housing to the
edge position.

Release the adjusting button, ensure the
motor housing section firmly clicks to secure in
place as it audibly snaps into position.

Now the trimmer can be used as an edge
trimmer.
Warning: To prevent accidental starts which may cause serious personal
injury, always disconnect the power cord before attempting to rotate the
shaft.
10 REPLACEMENT OF THE CUTTING LINE CARTRIDGE

Firmly press the two spool cover release
buttons in, this releases the spool cover

Remove the nylon cutting line spool kits.

Remove old nylon cutting line from spool
kits

Locate folded end of replacement cutting
line in guide hole in spool kits

Carefully wind for cutting line.

Leave sufficient length of cutting line to
be located into the retaining slot.

Repeat above procedure for replacing
opposite cutting line.

Thread cutting line through guide holes in
impeller.

Replace spool holder, push into position
and ensure release buttons click into
