Inserting and removing a drill (fig. 7)

 Open the safety guard (7).
 Open the chuck (6).
 Insert the drill into the chuck.
 Fasten the chuck by hand.
 Fasten the chuck firmly by inserting the chuck key in one of the holes in the side of the

chuck and turning it clockwise.

 Shut the safety guard.
 In order to remove a drill, proceed in reverse order.

Before inserting or removing a drill, always pull the plug from the wall
socket.

8.7

Setting the depth stop (fig. 8)

The depth stop is used to set the maximum drilling depth.
 Set the required drilling depth by rotating the depth stop wheel (24) to the defined value.

8.8

Adjusting the table (fig. 9)

The table can be height-adjusted, turned and toppled.

8.8.1

Height adjustment:

 Slacken the locking handle (14).
 Adjust the table (5) to the required height.
 Tighten the locking handle.

8.8.2

Turning:

 Slacken the locking handle (14).
 Turn the table (5) to the required position.
 Tighten the locking handle.

8.8.3

Toppling:

 Slacken the locking screw (25).
 Topple the table (5) to the required position.
 Tighten the locking screw.

8.9

Adjusting the table extenders (fig. 10)

Using the table extenders you can support long workpieces.
 Slacken the wing nuts (26).
 Slide the extender (27) outward.
 Tighten the wing nut.

8.10

Adjusting the speed (fig. 11)

 Remove the screw (28) and open the cover (29). Slacken the screws (30) and push the

motor housing (2) to the front to release the tension on the V-belt (31).

 Put the V-belt in line on the pulleys (32) in one of the combinations specified on the inside

of the cover.

 Push the motor housing to the rear to tension the V-belt.
 Clamp the motor housing in position by tighening the screws (30).
 Close the cover and re-fit the screw (28).
