Settings

Before plugging in the tool, always be sure that the tool is switched off. The
pilot lamp lights up when the tool is plugged into the power source.

8.4.1

Adjusting depth of cut

If the width of the work piece is greater than 150mm, the max planer depth at one go is
2mm, when it is less than 150mm the max planer depth at one go is 3mm). Do not make a
planing pass deeper than 3 mm and do not try to plane a plank shorter than 140 mm.

To adjust the depth-of-cut, turn the handle following the indications marked on the frame.

The depth can be read on the scale and each turn of the handle corresponds to 2 mm.

Always begin with a small pass. Progressively increase without exceeding 3 mm, being

aware that the final result will be better when a shallow pass is made.

The thickness of the plane is fixed by the distance between the blade and the table.

8.4.2

Adjusting by using the handle (Depth adjusting gauge ) (Fig D)

1.

For proper use of the machine, it is important that the depth-of-cut be precisely read. To
check the scale, follow the procedure below.

2.

Make a trial cut on a scrap piece after several passes.

3.

Compare the thickness obtained to the value showing.

4.

Loosen the index and point it to the exact value.

5.

Remake a test cut on the same piece and re-check the value showing in relation to the
actual thickness. Readjust if necessary.

8.4.3

Locking the height. (fig E)

After making the adjustments, lock the cutter block height locking lever, see image.

This lever stabilizes the cutter block during your planing work for a perfect control of the

thickness of the pass.

8.5

Digital display (readout.) (Fig F)

Use of the digital display
