Never fill the device with water when it is connected to a power supply

The water boiler gets very hot during operation. Hot steam will escape
from the spout.
Therefore, never grab the device, except by the handle

PRIOR T
O
FIRST USE
•
Remove all packaging.
•
T
o clean the water boiler and get rid of potential manufacturing residues, fill the device with clear
water four consecutive times and bring it to a boil (see Operation) and then pour it out.

Then clean the device as described in
Care and Maintenance
.
OPERA
TION

Open the cover

Before cleaning the device, pull the power plug

Allow the device to cool down, before cleaning the device.

Clean the casing with a soft, moist cloth and a mild detergent.
•
Never use abrasive or sharp utensils or detergents.
•
Decalcify the device regularly
. Use a normal decalcifier that is available at your local retailer
, and
follow the instructions of the product. Instead of a decalcifier
, you can also use a vinegar dilution of
one part vinegar and two parts water
.
•
Allow the mixture to sit in the boiler overnight and pour it out in the morning.
•
Fill in fresh, clean water and bring it to a boil.
•
Pour out the water
, to get rid of any vinegar or lime residues. Rinse the boiler with clean water
