repairs can be hazardous – risk of electric shock!

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with re-

stricted physical, sensory or mental capacity and/or without the necessary life

the appliance.

Do not store any explosive materials in this appliance, such as aerosol cans

containing an inflammable propellant gas, for example.

Only connect the appliance as follows:

– Using the supplied 12 V lead to 12 V DC power supply (car cigarette lighter)

Do not touch the plug with wet or sweaty hands – risk of electric shock!

Replace the power cord if damaged to avoid injury. The repair may only be

performed by an authorized specialist – risk of electric shock!

Never pull the plug from the 12 V socket by the lead.

Always pull the plug out of the electric socket before cleaning and when you

have finished using the appliance – risk of electric shock!

1.2 Running the appliance safely

Before starting the appliance, make sure that the cord and the plug are dry

risk of short circuiting!

Do not put the appliance in the immediate vicinity of naked flames, open fires

Never immerse the appliance in water – risk of electric shock!

When operating the cool box on 12 V, make sure that the 12 V plug is inserted

firmly and securely in the cigarette lighter socket and that the socket is clean.

If there is insufficient contact between the plug and the socket, the vibration

of the vehicle could result in the current supply intermittently switching on and

off, causing the cool box to overheat.

4. Intended use

The electric cool box is only suitable for private use in the home or when

camping to keep pre-cooled food and drinks cool. The appliance is not

intended for commercial use.

5. General instructions on using the appliance

Do not lift the cooler by the telescopic rod (see Fig. 6).

The cooler is not designed to be pulled over stairs or escalators (see Fig. 7).

The cooler is not intended to run constantly. Ice can form on the alumi-

nium radiation fins. We recommend switching off the appliance after it

has been running for six (6) days. You can then restart the appliance two

hours later.

Dry the surfaces of the items you wish to keep cool to keep water

from condensing.

If you are not using the cool box, keep the lead in the compart-

ment provided for it in the lid.

If you are using a 12V source of electricity, make sure that the power sup-

ply to the cooler is not interrupted in the event that the car engine on and

off frequently, and that the car‘s battery does not run down excessively

when the engine is switched off.

6. Operating

Before starting the cooler, we recommend washing it out inside with

a damp cloth for reasons of hygiene (see also the chapter, Care and

cleaning).
When the handle is folded down toward the front or when the cooler is being

carried, the lid is tightly closed. Fold the handle back to put items in or take

them out of the cooler (see Fig. 4).
Place the cool box down on a solid, level surface. The power lead

is permanently attached to the cool box and can be found in the

compartment in the lid. Connect the 12 V lead with the cigarette

lighter socket.
The cooler immediately begins cooling the interior of the compartment. It

does not switch off automatically when a minimum temperature is reached.

The refrigerating unit keeps running as long as the cooler is hooked up to a

source of electricity.

Choose a well-ventilated placed, shielded from the sun’s rays.

Only put pre-chilled items in the cooler.

Do not open the cooler more often than necessary.

Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary.

Always disconnect the lead from the power supply before cleaning.

Never clean the cooler under running water.

Before cleaning, remove the electric cover by slightly tilting it

then pulling it out through the opening at the right in the back (see

Fig. 5).

Use a damp cloth and mild soap solution to clean the interior.

Clean the appliance exterior with a damp cloth.
