INSTRUCTIONS FOR:

WIRE ROPE DAMPENER

MODEL NO:

WRD01

Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructions and properly

maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. INTRODUCTION & SPECIFICATION

3.1

Pull apart the velcro and place over the wire rope midway, before there is any tension applied to it.

3.2

If winching using a double line and a pulley, only place the dampener over a single wire rope.

3.3

Be careful that the dampener does not get fed into the fairlead mechanism as the winch is being used.

3.4

Ensure there is no tension on the wire rope when removing the dampener.

3. OPERATION

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS, AND

CAUTIONS. USE THIS PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO

MAY CAUSE DAMAGE AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY.

DO NOT overload your winch or puller. Be sure all equipment used meets the winch or puller's maximum line pull rating.

DO NOT enter the danger zone (the area of the winch drum, the fairlead (if fitted) the pulley block, (if used) the hook and the motor).

DO NOT approach or span the wire rope whilst the winch or puller is under load.

DO NOT allow the wire rope to slide through your hands, use heavy leather gloves when handling wire rope.

DO NOT operate a winch or puller when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.

Wear eye protection, insulated work clothes, non-slip shoes keep hair tied up and wear thick leather gloves. Remove all jewellery.

Inspect winch or puller, wire rope, hooks and other accessories frequently. A mashed, pinched, kinked or frayed wire rope with broken

strands should be replaced at once, because a damaged rope has reduced load carrying capability.
