WARNING! To prevent the risk of sparking, short circuit and possible explosion DO NOT drop metal tools in the battery area, or

allow them to touch the battery terminals.

WARNING! DO NOT use use on any power source other than a 12Volt DC system.

DANGER! - Beware, lead-acid batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation.

DO NOT smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of the battery or engine.

DO NOT connect to a positive earthed system. ensure the polarity is correct before connecting, red clip to positive (+) battery terminal

and black clip to negative (-) battery terminal.

DO NOT pull the cables or clips from the battery terminals.

DO NOT use equipment for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.

DO NOT use the lamp if damaged.

DO NOT immerse lamp in water.

Wash immediately with soap and water if battery acid contacts skin or clothing. If acid enters eye, flush immediately with cool clean

running water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.

If the battery terminals are corroded or dirty, clean them before attaching the clips.

Before attaching to battery, remove personal metallic items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches. A lead-acid battery can

produce a short-circuit current which is high enough to weld such items to the vehicle and cause severe burns.

ensure the lamp is disconnected from the power source before attempting to change the fluorescent tube.

2. INTRODUCTION

High output lighting with even light spread and low power consumption saving on energy costs. features integral power switch and

swivel hook for easy positioning. supplied with 12V battery clips and 5mtr cable.

3. OPERATION

3.1 CONNECTING TO BATTERY TERMINALS

NOTE: Check the battery is 12V DC. DO NOT use with a 6V or 24V battery.

3.1.1 ensure battery terminals are clean, if necessary clean away any dirt or corrosion.

3.1.2 check to make sure that no flammable fumes are present.

3.1.3 clip the red (+) battery clip to the red positive (+) terminal post on the battery.

3.1.4 clip the black (-) battery clip to the black negative (-) terminal post on the battery.

3.1.5 check all connections are secure.

3.2 OPERATING THE LAMP

3.2.1 Press the integral power switch once to turn on the lamp and press once again to turn off the lamp.

3.3 DISCONNECTING FROM THE BATTERY TERMINALS

3.3.1 unclip the black (-) battery clip from the black negative (-) terminal post on the battery.

3.3.2 unclip the red (+) battery clip from the red positive (+) terminal post on the battery.

3.3.3 store lamp in a safe, dry childproof area.

4. MAINTENANCE

WARNING! Be sure to disconnect the lamp from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance.

4.1

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

4.1.1 Keep the lamp clean.

4.1.2 check cable for any signs of wear. If the battery clips and/or cable are worn/broken, remove the lamp from service immediately and have

it repaired by a qualified electrician.

4.2

REPLACING FLUORESCENT TUBE (Refer to fig.1 & fig.2)

NOTE: Use only Sealey replacement fluorescent tubes, Part No: ML1112CB.

4.2.1 disconnect from the power supply.

4.2.2 remove end cap from the outer plastic tube.

4.2.3 squeeze the outer plastic tube at the area of the lugs on the fluorescent tube retaining clip, allowing the clip to clamp the top of the

fluorescent tube. Grip the inside of the clip with a pair of long nose pliers (not supplied) and extract the clip and fluorescent tube.

NOTE: Use caution when handling a fluorescent tube and dispose of in accordance with local authority guidelines.

4.2.4 Attach the fluorescent tube retaining clip to the top of the replacement fluorescent tube.

4.2.5 Place the replacement tube into the outer plastic tube and locate the fittings with the socket in the lamp base.

4.2.6 firmly press the fluorescent tube into the lamp base ensuring that the fluorescent tube retaining clip is correctly located within the outer

plastic tube.

4.2.7 re-fit the end cap.
