3.1. OPERATION

WARNING! Ensure that you read, and fully understand the safety instructions before use.

3.1.2. Charge the battery before use.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the light is turned ‘Off’ whilst charging. Failure to do so will damage the charger plug.

3.1.3. The penlight can be charged from either the mains adaptor or from a computer via the USB cable; the charging jack is connected into

the charging port in the base.

3.1.3. A full charge takes approximatelty 4 hours, allowing up to 4 hours of use.

3.1.4. Whilst charging, a red LED shows in the SMD display; a green LED shows when charged.

3.1.5. As this light is fitted with a lithium-ion battery, it can be charged at any time; there is no ‘memory’ effect with this type of battery.

3.1.6 . The first press of the switch (fig.1) illuminates the CREE LED in the end, the second press lights the SMD’s arranged on the front of the

unit.

WARNING: Ensure that the penlight is pointing away from you before operating the switch.

Environmental Protection.

Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of

them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycle centre and

disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.

Battery Removal.

The battery may be removed by loosening the six small cross-headed screws in the casing and splitting along the centre seam.

WEEE Regulations.

Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling

information.
