OPERATION

!

WARNING! Ensure that you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Section 1.

!

WARNING! Ensure the oil level never rises above the maximum level on the indicator located on the side of the resevoir.

5.1.

Drainer.

5.1.1

Close ball valve 2 (Fig. 5.2) and open valve 6 (Fig. 5.6).

5.1.2

Position the oil drainer beneath a car situated on a lift and drain the waste oil.

5.2

Suction.

5.2.1

Open valve (Fig. 5.4) completely by turning it counter-clockwise. Close the suction valve (Fig. 5.1), close air valve (Fig. 5.5), and
close the drain valves (Fig. 5.2 and 5.6).

5.2.2

Connect the compressed air at 7bar (100psi) to quick coupling (Fig. 6.2), open the ball valve (Fig. 6.1) and valve (Fig. 6.4).
Air will flow out of the muffler (Fig. 6.3).

5.2.3

When the arrow of the vacuum gauge approaches the red field, after 2.5 - 3 minutes, close the valve (Fig. 6.1) then shut off the
compressed air. The unit is now depressurized and ready for use.

Note!

Oil should be removed when hot (70-80°C). Keep hands, face and body protected using suitable personal protective equipment (PPE).
The suction capacity of the unit is equal to 2/3 of its reservoir capacity.

5.2.4

With the engine still warm, remove the dipstick and insert the largest probe as far down as it will go.

5.2.5

Connect the suction hose to the probe.

5.2.6

Open valve (Fig. 5.1), keeping the probe dipped in oil. As soon as the sump is emptied, close valve (Fig. 5.1).

Note!

It is also possible to suck hot waste oil while keeping the air connected to the device.

4.

AIR SUPPLY

The recommended hook-up is shown (Fig. 4).

4.1.

Ensure the air valve is in the "Off" position before connecting to the air supply.

4.2.

You will require an air pressure of 7bar.

4.3.

!

WARNING! Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed pressures

specified in these Instructions. Too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will
shorten the drainer life due to excessive wear, and may be dangerous, causing
damage and/or personal injury.

4.4.

Drain the air tank daily. Water in the air line may damage the drainer.

4.5.

Clean the air inlet filter screen weekly.

4.6.

Line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses
(over 8 metres).
The minimum hose diameter should be 10mm I.D. and fittings must have the same inside dimensions.

4.7.

Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hoses for wear, and make certain that all connections are secure.
