3. OPERATION

1. sAfETy

Car safe made from aluminium and steel, ideal for holding valuable items such as SAT Nav's, mobile telephones and cash. Tubular key lock

with stainless steel bezel supplied with 2 keys. 1m long tethering cable system enables secure fixing under most cars, vans and commercial

seats. Easy to install in seconds with no drillings or fixings required. Slide open mechanism provides easy access to contents. Protective felt

lining.

3.1. Locking

3.1.1. Place valuable items into the portable car safe and slide it closed.

3.1.2. Pass the tethering cable round the vehicle seat base bracket and pass the locking bolt through the looped end (fig.1).

3.1.3. Place the locking bolt into the lock aperture at the side of the portable car safe (fig.2).

3.1.4 Insert the key into the key lock and rotate the key ¼ of a turn clockwise (fig.2).

Note: The key has a guide and can only be inserted into the key lock in one of two positions determined by whether the portable car safe

is locked or unlocked.

3.1.5. Remove the key from the key lock and place the portable car safe out of sight underneath the vehicle seat.

3.2. Unlocking

3.2.1. Insert the key into the key lock and rotate the key ¼ of a turn counter-clockwise (fig.2).

3.2.2. Withdraw the locking bolt from the lock aperture at the side of the portable car safe (fig.2).

3.2.3. Slide open the portable car safe and remove valuable items.

3.2.4. Remove the tethering cable from the vehicle seat base bracket and store it with the key inside the portable car safe for the next use.

3.2.5. Store the portable car safe in a secure, dry childproof location.

WARNING! Ensure that the portable car safe is secured safely when the vehicle is in motion.

WARNING! Keep the tethering cable away from small children, DO NOT allow them to play with it.

For maximum security, this safe must be secured to a suitable fixing point.

When in use, ensure that the portable car safe keys are removed from the vehicle.

Keep fingers clear of the lock aperture at the side of the portable car safe when sliding open or closed.

DO NOT use in areas where damp and condensation are present.
