Always refer to the original manufacturer's manual for assembly and dissassembly of the motorcycle fork seals.

4.1.

Measure the stanchion diameter (Ø"A") and the seal ring outer diameter. It may be better that (Ø"B") is less than the seal ring outer

diameter.

4.2.

Ensure correct orientation, lubricate and slip the new seal ring over the stanchion and slide it down to the slider housing.

4.3.

From the specification table, decide on the set up. Adjust equally on the slots, the collar segment to best represent (Ø"A). In Diagrams 1

and 2 the pins in the slide hammer will be engaged with opposing holes of the other half of the hammer. (In Diagram 3 the engagement

between the pins and holes will be lost. It will be necessary to align, by eye, the two halves of the slide hammer to obtain even seal ring

insertion).

4.4.

Holding the slide hammer halves together press the seal into the slider housing. Replace retaining ring if required and repeat all tasks

with the other fork.
