USING THE RADIO
CHARGING THE BATTERY
TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING
You must first charge the battery before
receiving or sending a message.
NOTE
1. Turn the VOL
switch to the
OFF position.
2. Plug the bar-
rel plug into
the radio and
the adapter
into an AC out-
let.
1. Turn the
VOL/OFF knob
clockwise to turn
the radio on.
2. Press and
hold MON to
bypass the
squelch while
adjusting the
volume to a
comfortable
level.
Note: While
holding MON,
your radio
may detect
transmissions
from stations
both in and
out of your
system.
