Insert 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries into the battery compart-

Setting the time (Fig. A)

After you have inserted the batteries, the scale switches auto-
matically into the time mode

. As soon as the scale has

switched into the time mode

, the minute value flashes in

the LC display

. In this event, skip the next two steps.

If the scale is in the weighing mode, press and keep pressed

the MODE button

for 3 seconds to switch into the time

to set the desired minute value.

the value-setting process.

Note: If you do not press another button within 30 seconds,
the set value stops to flash and the time is set.

Operation

Weighing (Fig. A)

If the scale is in the time mode

, press the MODE button

once to switch into the weighing mode.

Note: Shortly before the scale switches into the weighing
mode, the scale shows “HELO” in the display for 1–2 sec-
onds.

1. Place the kitchen scale on a solid, flat surface.
2. Press the MODE button

once to change the weight

unit indicator (g / lb’oz).

3. Place the substance to be weighed on the scale. The

weight of the substance being weighed is shown in the
LC display

Incremental weighing (Fig. A)

1. Follow steps 1 to 3 of the section on “Weighing” and

press the TARE button

. The LC display

shows 0

and the TARE symbol

appears.

2. Add another substance to be weighed to the scale. The

LC display

shows the weight of the newly added sub-

stance.

3. If you remove the added substance from the scale, the

LC display

shows 0.

4. If you remove all of the substances to be weighed from

the scale, the LC display shows a negative value

5. Press the TARE button

once and the TARE symbol

ceases to be displayed.

6. Activate the TARE function only within a range of 3–2,500 g.

If there is no substance to be weighed on the scale and if 60
seconds elapses without a button being pressed or no movement
