Safety Instructions

for Batteries

Remove the batteries from the device if they are

not going to be used for a prolonged period.

CAUTION! DANGER OF

EXPLOSION! The batteries must

never be recharged!

When inserting the batteries, ensure the correct

polarity! This is shown in the battery compart­

ments.

If necessary, clean the batteries and device

contacts before inserting the batteries.

Remove spent batteries immediately from the

device. There is an increased danger of leaks!

Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal

domestic waste!

Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of

batteries in the proper manner!

Keep batteries away from children; do not

throw them in the fire, short­circuit them or take

them apart.

If the above instructions are not complied with,

the batteries may discharge themselves beyond

their end voltage. There is then a danger of

leaking. If the batteries have leaked inside your

device, you should remove them immediately in

order to prevent damage to the device!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous

membranes. If you come into contact with

corrosive battery fluids, flush the affected area

thoroughly with clean water and contact a doctor

immediately.

Use

Insert Batteries / Filling of the

salt and pepper mill

Indication: The salt and pepper mill is intended

for peppercorns or coarse salt.

Proceed as follows:

1. Hold the base with container

firmly and

turn the top

in a clockwise direction (see

Figure A) until the arrow on the top

is aligned

with the on the base with container

2. Open the bayonet cap by turning and then

pulling it. The remove the top part

from the

3. Pull the motor

4. Pull the battery ring

off the motor

5. Insert 6 new batteries type AAA 1.5 V

(LR03).

Indication: Pay attention to the right polarity.

This is shown in the battery compartment.

back on to the

7. Fill up the base with container

with pepper­

corns or coarse salt. The best result will be

achieved when filling the base with container

up to 75 %.

back on to the base with

and close the bayonet cap by

pressing it down and then turning it (see Fig. B).

Indication: Please make sure that the con­

Pull off the aroma seal cover

from the bot­

tom of the base with container

Please keep the switch

pushed to activate

the salt and pepper mill. The bulb

simultaneously activated.
