j Hold the hair and beard clippers with the front pointing upwards.
j Use moderate force to press the cutting edges downwards
(see Figs. B+C).
j Clean the hair and beard clippers with the cleaning brush.
j Push the projection of the cutting attachment 8 under the edge of
the casing (see Fig. D).
j Press the cutting edges of the cutting attachment 8 downwards
until you can hear it click into place.
Note: The trimmer head 2 may only be cleaned with medical
alcohol. Do not use water or any other liquids.

Oiling the trimmer head
j Only use acid-free oil, e.g. sewing machine oil.
j Remove the comb attachment 1 from the device as described in
the section called “Cutting without an attachment”.
j Press the trimmer head 2 downwards (see Figs. B+C) and
remove it.
j Put one or two drops of oil between the blades and distribute the
oil evenly.
j Replace the shaver head 2 and the comb attachment 1 again.
j Wipe off excess oil with a cloth.
