The appliance is not designed to be
operated with an external timer or a
separate telecontrol system.

WARNING about material damage

Use exclusively the stainless steel
blades supplied.

1 electric carving knife
2 stainless steel blades 7
1 protective sheath
1 set of directions for use

Fitting and removing
the blades

DANGER! Make sure the knife is
not plugged into the mains whilst
fitting and removing the blades 7.

Fitting the blades

1. Unplug the mains plug 4.
2. Carefully remove the stainless steel

blades 7 from the protective sheath.
When removing the stainless steel
blades 7, always hold them between
finger and thumb and only at the finger
guard 6. The teeth of the stainless
steel blades 7 should be facing down-
wards.

3. Push the drive ends of the stainless

steel blades 7 into the insertion opening
5 in the housing until they audibly click
home.

4. Check that the stainless steel blades 7

are securely attached.

Removing the blades

1. Unplug the mains plug 4.
2. Push the blade release button 1 to

release the stainless steel blades 7.

3. Pull the released stainless steel

blades 7 straight forwards out of the
housing. When removing the stain-
less steel blades 7, always hold them
between finger and thumb and only at
the finger guard 6. The stainless steel
blades 7 should be facing downwards.

Operation

DANGER! Never touch the appli-
ance with wet hands.

Always perform the carving action
away from your body, not towards your
body.

WARNING! After a maximum of 7 minutes
continuous operation, the required period
before next use is 90 minutes.

Use exclusively the stainless steel
blades 7 supplied.

Do not attempt to cut frozen foodstuffs
or bones using the knife.

Never carve foodstuffs on metallic or
ceramic surfaces. Contact with such
surfaces can damage the stainless
steel blades 7.

1. Plug the mains plug 4 into a wall

socket whose voltage matches the
particulars on the rating plate.

2. Place the foodstuffs to be carved on a

stable, flat and cut-resistant surface.

3. Press the On/Off button 2 and at the

same time press the child safety but-
ton 3.

4. Gently push the electric carving knife

into the foodstuff that is to be carved.
When carving, always move the knife
away from your body.
