Important safety advice / Bringing into use / operation
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
AND INJURY! Do not drop the device and
do not subject it to impact. Check the shiatsu
massage device, mains adapter and its lead
carefully for signs of wear or damage. Do not
use the device if you discover any wear or
damage or if the device has been used improp-
erly. Stop using the device immediately in the
event of defects or malfunction occurring. In
this case, send the device back to the dealer
before using it again.
  RISK OF FIRE! Do not cover the
shiatsu massage device during use
(cushions, covers etc.). Never use
the device near petrol or other readily flammable
substances.
  Ask your doctor and, if relevant, the
manufacturer of your heart pace-
maker before you use this shiatsu
massage device. Under certain circumstances,
the electrical and magnetic fields emitted from
the device could interfere with the proper func-
tioning of your heart pacemaker. However, the
parameters of the fields do not exceed the per-
mitted limits: for information on these limits
please refer to the section on “Technical data”.
Do not use the shiatsu massage
device for massaging around the heart if you
have a heart pacemaker.
  Children or persons who lack the knowledge
or experience to use the shiatsu massage device
or whose physical, sensory or intellectual ca-
pacities are limited must never be allowed to
use the shiatsu massage device without super-
vision or instruction by a person responsible for
their safety. Children must never be allowed to
play with the shiatsu massage device.
  Do not use this shiatsu massage de-
vice on helpless people, on children,
or people who are insensitive to
heat (e.g. diabetics, people whose skin is af-
fected by illness or who have scarred skin in
the area where the heat will be applied) or ani-
mals. Do not use the shiatsu massage device
during pregnancy, after taking painkilling medi-
cation or alcohol.
  Ensure that you do not fall asleep
while the shiatsu massage device is
operating. Do not use the massage
device while driving.
  RISK OF BURNS! The surface of
the device becomes hot during op-
eration. People who are insensitive
to heat must be careful while using the device.
  Do not use the shiatsu massage device on
swollen, burned, inflamed, diseased or injured
parts or regions of the body or areas of skin. If
in doubt take medical advice, in particular:
• if you suffer from a serious illness or have
had an operation on the upper part of your
body,
• if you have a heart pacemaker, implant or
other medical device,
• if you are suffering from thrombosis,
• if you suffer from pains with an undiagnosed
cause.

Ensure that your fingers or other
body parts do not get themselves between the
rotating massage heads

  The shiatsu massage device must not be used
on the face (e.g. eyes), on the larynx, the feet
or other sensitive body parts.
  Have any repairs carried out only by qualified
specialist personnel or in a workshop approved
by the manufacturer. Unsatisfactory repairs can
lead to considerable danger for the user.
  Bringing into use / operation
  Do not open the zip fastener on the
shiatsu massage device. It is provided
for reasons connected with the
manufacturing process only.
Note: The shiatsu massage device may give
off an odour of plastic on first use. This odour
will cease to develop after a short while.
Note: Use the shiatsu massage device for a
maximum of 15 minutes. Longer use may lead
to over-stimulation and hence tension in the
muscles.
