Pneumatic Line Magnets Quick Clean (PLM-QC Series)

MPI's Pneumatic Line Magnets are designed exclusively for use in dilute-phase pneumatic conveying systems. Typical applications include powder or granular food
products, pharmaceuticals, plastics and chemicals conveyed in high-speed, low-density-to-air volume systems. As product is conveyed in the line, it is diverted around
the magnet’s nose cone and past the alternating north and south magnetic poles. The tramp metals are captured on and collect behind the sanitary welded, ribbed
magnetic poles to minimize tramp metal "wash-off."

Pneumatic Line Magnets are available in quick clean (QC) or standard models and with optional Rare Earth magnetic material.

Redesigned magnet eliminates the need to replace gaskets!

Application:

Used to remove fine metal contaminants in dilute-phase pneumatic conveying, MPI Pneumatic Line Magnets (PLM-QC Series) boast a sanitary design in all product
contact areas, quick-release DE-STA-CO clamps for easy opening and closing, 100% stainless steel product areas and powerful Rare Earth magnet material. A new
and improved food-grade silicone gasket offers a permanent seal which virtually eliminates the need to replace gaskets. MPI provides a seam-welded magnetic
stainless steel "raised" pole design that improves tramp metal retention between cleaning as compared to similar units. MPI is the sole provider of Pneumatic Line
Magnets with a sanitary seam-welded construction, which is critical to food industry processors, and "raised" pole design.

Typical applications include powder or granular food products, pharmaceuticals, plastics and chemicals conveyed at high speeds in low density, high-air systems.

Operation:

MPI's Pneumatic Line Magnets easily install in existing product conveying lines, and maintain a continuous flow through the housing with no reduction in product
velocity. The nose cone diverts the product stream over the stainless steel sleeve assemblies, which are ribbed at the magnetic pole areas to maximize tramp metal
retention as the product flows over and around the sleeve assemblies. Collected tramp iron is cleaned by releasing the magnet access door and swinging it open from
the housing. Turn the magnet handle to disengage it from its sleeve. Collected tramp iron will fall off.

Standard Features:
• Powerful Rare Earth Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnet material
• 100% stainless steel enclosed design
• Quick-clean design features removable magnet element
• Quick-release DE-STA-CO clamps for easy opening and closing
• FDA approved welded compression style gasket features a permanent seal and virtually eliminates the need for gasket replacement
• Raised magnetic poles designed to eliminate tramp metal "wash off" from product flow
• Rugged welded construction
Optional Features:
• Non-standard alloy stainless steel construction
• Mounting flanges and matching companion flanges
• Special pipe diameters
• Morris-type couplings
• Four (4) flange options available: flex coupling; round flange; tension ring; compression
