MPI's award-winning Round Spout Pneumatic Line Magnet (RSPLM) effectively removes inbound tramp metal contaminants from high-speed material streams in low-
density, high-air systems. The RSPLM is suitable for powder or granular materials being transported in large-diameter lines.
Unlike comparative products, the newly developed RSPLM boasts multiple internal Rare Earth magnets, rather than just one (8" models and larger). This allows for a
greater gap space between magnets, allowing more product to come into contact with the magnets.
While conventional drawer magnets are typically installed horizontally in gravity-fed flows, the RSPLM is placed vertically. This allows the magnet dwell time to be
extended dramatically and increases the ability of the magnet to trap contaminants. The RSPLM operates in tandem with the vertical pneumatic or gravity process line.
Because its internal magnets are placed in the direction of the product flow and the gap space between the magnets and the product is much greater, the RSPLM
virtually eliminates product bridging.
When product is not flowing, the operator can easily clean the equipment by unlocking the latches and opening the door. The internal magnets can then be cleaned. To
facilitate maintenance and cleaning, the opening door is attached with sanitary heavy duty hinges to fully support the weight of the magnets.
