External voltage protection for LOW-

Ω measurement range

If a external voltage of maximum 600 V is connected by mistake to the LOW-

Ω measurement

socket, the LOW-

Ω measurement will not be carried out. The instrument display indicates

+”UEXT".

• For voltages > 600V AC/DC the internal fuse will trip.

Test Lead Compensation

The ISO-PRO allows the compensation of the test lead resistance and the additional
measurement accessories. Proceed as follows:

1)

Set the measurement function selection dial (19) to measurement function ”LOW-

Ω".

2)

Connect the black test lead to the "COM” socket and the red test lead to the ”LOW-
Ω" socket.

3)

Short-circuit both test leads connected.

4)

Press the "COMP” key (26).

5)

The measurement is started. The test lead resistance is measure and compensated.
The "COMP” symbol (7) is displayed. 0,00

Ω appears on the display and an acoustic

signal is audible

• If a value exceeding 1.99

Ω is measured, no test lead compensation is carried out. In lieu of

the measurement ">1.99

Ω” is displayed together with the respective symbol and a double

acoustic signal is audible.

• To delete the test lead compensation, press again the ”COMP" key (26). The "COMP”

symbol disappears.
