Before connecting this product to your NetWare

v3.12 network, you
need to add the IEEE 802.3 protocol. This step requires you to modify
the server and your workstation settings.
Change the settings for your server(s) and workstation(s) using the
information below.
1. for all file servers using this product as their print
You need to modify the file server’s AUTOEXEC.NCF file by adding
the IEEE 802.3 protocol for the network card.
The following example uses the Novell NE2000 network card. In this
example, the network number for the IEEE 802.3 protocol is a38d2300,
and the network number for the IEEE 802.2 protocol is a38d0100. (You
will need to replace the card name and network numbers with those
for your specific network.)
Example:
current settings
load NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.2
bind IPX to NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.2 net=a38d0100
after adding the IEEE 802.3 protocol
load NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.2
bind IPX to NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.2 net=a38d0100
load NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.3
bind IPX to NE2000 frame=ethernet_802.3 net=a38d2300
After changing the AUTOEXEC.NCF file, restart the server to enable
the modified settings.
