Web server with memory available for storing device drivers, GlobalViewer, and custom
user Web pages.

Telnet, HTTP, and SMTP.

and others can receive failure and service messages through an e-mail enabled cell
phone, PDA, pager, or Internet e-mail account.

• Free Global Configurator, easy-to-use configuration utility — Global Configurator
software, a free Windows

• Free GlobalViewer ® , Web-based asset management application — When used with
GlobalViewer, IP Link interfaces provide a powerful, flexible way to manage, monitor, and
control both Extron and third-party equipment like projectors, plasmas, monitors, VCRs,
DVD players, and other devices using a standard TCP/IP network.
• Internal real-time clock — Programmable operating alerts, sequencing, and automatic
monitoring, together with the real-time clock and calendar, allow IP Link interfaces to
routinely check configured devices.
• Supports Power Over Ethernet, PoE 802.3af — Power over Ethernet is a technology
for wired Ethernet networks that allows the electrical current necessary for the operation
of compliant devices to be carried by the data cables rather than by power cords.
• Plenum rated - meets UL 2043 for heat and smoke release, excluding power supply
• External universal power supply included, part # 70-055-01 — Provides worldwide
power compatibility.
dEscrIPtIon
The Extron IPL T CR48 is a compact Ethernet control interface with integral Web server, four
contact input ports, and eight relays. It is designed to integrate IP - Internet Protocol connectivity
into A/V systems for Web-based remote control of screens, timers, lights, motion sensors, and
more. Four contact inputs, TTL only, and eight normally open relays offer the ability to control a
wide variety of products in an A/V presentation environment.
GlobalViewer ® Web-based Asset Management Application
Extron GlobalViewer is the free, Web-based, asset management and control application designed
specifically for IP Link Ethernet network interfaces. With GlobalViewer and the IPL T CR48,
users can monitor and control projector lifts, screens, window shades, doors, and lighting
systems — all from the convenience of a central monitoring station.
