it at a lower speed, test your unit periodically by running it at least half an
hour on the “High” setting. If the red light appears, it is time to replace the
Pre-Filter and check the condition of the HEPA Filter.

WHICH FILTER SHOULD YOU CHANGE?

Your unit contains a Pre-Filter and a HEPA Filter. To determine which filter to
replace, run this test:

1. Install new Pre-Filter, leaving the current HEPA Filter in place.
2. Set the unit on “High” and run uninterrupted for at least half an hour.
3. If the FilterWatch indicator remains off, you won’t need to replace the

HEPA Filter.

4. If the FilterWatch illuminates, you will also need to replace the HEPA

Filter.

5. Excessive handling will damage the HEPA filter.

REPLACE A BLOCKED FILTER IMMEDIATELY

A clean filter ensures maximum air quality and it keeps your unit running
smoothly and trouble-free. To extend the life of the pre-filter, heavy accumula-
tions of dust may be gently vacuumed away. Retest the system as a replace-
ment HEPA filter may still be needed. To order replacement filters, call
1–800–547–3888 or use the convenient order form in this booklet.
