HP Business Inkjet 2280tn. This printer comes with a robust
EIO networking HP Jetdirect card and an embedded Web
server to make shared color printing easy to use and manage
from any standard Web browser, in all major network
environments and protocols. The HP Business Inkjet 2280tn
printer is Internet-enabled, capable of sending and receiving
printing e-services such as self-diagnostic services that send
automatic e-mail alerts when attention is required. If networking
capability isn’t an immediate need, purchase either the
HP Business Inkjet Printer 2230 or 2280 with the knowledge
that both printers can be upgraded for full networking ability.

in less time. For fast printing or drafts, you can print full-color
documents at speeds of 14 ppm in fast mode and 15 ppm in
black and white. When you’re ready to print the final product,
use the normal mode and receive color printouts at 7.5 ppm.
Plus, HP has added a new “Speed-optimized Normal” that
prints documents up to 50% faster than the “Normal” mode
with comparable print quality. Colors appear vibrant and
sharp with HP PhotoREt III color layering technology. Print
accuracy and excellent quality are assured with auto-switching
of HP PCL 5c and PostScript 3 emulation (optional on the 2230).
The HP Business Inkjet 2280 and 2280tn both deliver the
power that comes from 96/167 MHz dual processors
(96 MHz on the 2230) and 48 MB of built-in RAM
memory (16 MB in the 2230). And, all models can expand
to 176 MB of RAM, making this the printer that truly grows
with your business.

HP designed the HP Business Inkjet 2230/2280 series with
you in mind—robust printers that don’t require a lot of
attention and won’t increase your bottom line. By using four
individual high-capacity ink cartridges (black, cyan, magenta,
yellow), these printers create documents more efficiently,
extending printing life. Each ink cartridge features smart chips
to continuously monitor both printhead health and ink supply.
And because you only have to replace the individual color
ink cartridges that are empty, you save money on ink costs.
Printed documents cost only 2.2* cents per page for black
and white and 8.4* cents per page for color. The high-
capacity ink cartridges print up to 1,750 pages on each color
thereby lowering your intervention with the printer. To further
lower your intervention rate, consider purchasing an additional
250-sheet paper tray (standard on the 2280tn).
