USING THE BUILT-IN CAMERA LIGHT

Use the built-in camera light it you wish to shoot objects in dark places. When the
"LIGHT" switch is set to "AUTO", the camera light turns on automatically when the
camera/recorder is pointed at objects in a dark place and turns off when it is pointed at
objects in a bright place.

CAUTION: The power consumption of the built-in camera light is about a half that of the
camera/recorder. Therefore, if the camera light is turned on when a fully charged battery
pack is attached, the operating time of the battery falls to about a half.

1. Make sure that a fully charged battery pack or AC adaptor/charger is attached.
2. Set the "POWER" switch to "CAM" and then set the "LIGHT" switch to "AUTO"
when required.

NOTE: When the "LIGHT" switch is set on "ON", the camera light will turn on whenever
you make a recording.

CAUTION:
• Turn the camera light on only when you need it, otherwise the operating time of the
battery pack is shortened due to the power consumption of the camera light.
• When the "LIGHT" switch is set to "AUTO", the camera light does not turn on unless a
cassette is loaded.

CAUTION: Do not hold the unit by the built-in camera light when carrying as this could
cause a malfunction.

3. After use, set the "LIGHT" switch to "OFF" or set the "POWER" switch of the
camera/recorder to "OFF" position.
