Replacing a Hard Drive

1.

Follow the steps in

Removing a Hard Drive on page 28

to remove the hard drive.

2.

Slide the replacement hard disk drive into the bay.

NOTE:

If you are replacing an old drive with a new drive, use the four retainer screws from the

old drive to install the new drive.

Align the screw holes on the side of the hard drive with the holes marked “HDD” on the bay.

CAUTION:

Never crease or bend a SATA data cable tighter than a 30 mm (1.18 in) radius. A

sharp bend can break the internal wires.
