Accuracy/Special Conditions/Battery Installation

Healthy Living monitors have been clinically tested against a scientific
device called a sphygmomanometer, considered the gold standard in blood
pressure measurement. All Healthy Living monitors have performed equiv-
alent to measurements taken with this scientific device and are within the
accuracy limits prescribed by the American National Standard for Electronic
or Automated Sphygmomanometers. Healthy Living monitors have been
clinically tested and have met all the requirements to achieve AAMI
(Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) certification.

When the display screen shows “ ” it is time to replace
with 4 new AA batteries.

All Healthy Living BPMs are safe and accurate to use with pulse irregular-
ities. However, as a safeguard, we recommend that if you have arrhythmias
such as atrial or ventricular premature beats and atrial fibrillation or any
other special conditions you should check with your physician before using
your Healthy Living BPM.

* To make the batteries last longer, you may want to remove them if you are

not using your monitor for an extended period of time.

* If the unit is used daily, please change the alkaline batteries every 2 months

for better results.
