Deleting One Equation or Its Variables (DELET)

To delete an equation or its variables:

1. Display the equation.
2. Press

in the SOLVE menu.

3. To delete the equation, respond

to both questions:

                   
                  

(If the entry has no variables allocated, then only the second question

appears.)

4. To delete just the variables, respond

to

                  . This preserves the equation.

Deleting All Equations or All Variables in the Solver
(

@c

)

To delete all the equations in the Solver, or just all the variables in all the
equations:

1. Display the SOLVE menu. It doesn’t matter which equation is

displayed.

2. Press

@c

. To delete all equations, respond

to both

questions:

                   

                   

3. To delete just the variables, respond

to

                   . This preserves all equations.

Writing Equations

An equation in a book looks different from an equation in the Solver. A
numerator and denominator might be separated by a bar, such as
