The following table describes the LEDs above each port on the right. These
LEDs indicate the speed of the port.
Fast-flashing
green (on 1/4
second; off 1/4
second) The port is in internal loopback
(diagnostic). No action required.
Flickering green Port is online, with traffic
flowing through port. No action required.
Flashing or steady
yellow POST is running. No action required.
Steady orange Port is receiving light or signal
carrier, but is not yet online. No action required.
Slow-flashing
orange (on 1
second; off 1
second) The port is disabled (result of
diagnostics or portDisable
command). Reset the port from a
management station.
Fast-flashing
orange (on 1/4
second; off 1/4
second) The port is faulty. Reset the switch from
a management
station.
Alternating green
and yellow Port is bypassed. Reset the port from a
management station.
