TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

POSSIBLE CAUSE

1. Circuit breaker is tripped or

turned off or fuse is blown.

2. Switch on lamp or appliance

is turned off.

3. Lamp or appliance is defec-

tive.

4. Interrupted by another de-

vice.

5. Signals from transmitter are

being blocked, or transmitter
is out of range.

6. Weak battery in the transmitter.

7. Dip switches on transmitter

and receiver units do not
match.

8. Receivers are too close to-

gether.

1. Switching modes too quickly.

2. Same as 5, 6, 7, and 8 above.

1. Short term power line failure.
2. Another transmitter on the

same channel.

SYMPTOM

Lamp or appliance
does not come on.

Lamp or appliance
does not turn off.

Lamp or appliance
comes on randomly.

SOLUTION

1. Reset circuit breaker or replace

fuse.

2. Verify switch on lamp or appliance

is turned on.

3. Test using different lamp or appli-

ance.

4. Change channels on transmitter

and receiver units.

5. Check for metal objects that could

block the signal, or reposition the
transmitter.

6. Check battery charge and replace

if necessary.

7. Verify dip switch settings on trans-

mitter and receiver units are set
the same.

8. Increase distance between receiv-

ers to 10 feet (minimum).

1. Wait 1 to 2 seconds before

swiching modes.

2. Same as 5, 6, 7, and 8 above.

1. Press OFF button on remote.
2. Change channels on transmitter

and receiver units.
