• A headset is plugged in so that the speaker is switched off.
Plug off the headset to play via the internal speaker.

When using the LINE OUT socket, there is a humming noise.
• An electrical / magnetic alternating field intersperses onto the
conduit. Use a better cable and try to minimise the interspersion by
another passing of the conduit. If this does not help, the utilisation
of a DI box is recommended.
• Due to the earthing of the connected devices, a hum pick-up
emerges. Do in no case interrupt the ground wire of the devices but
do, if possible, operate both devices at one joint power distribution!
If this is not possible, the connection must be separated galvanically
by means of a DI box.

When connecting a mixer at the LINE OUT, the signal on the PA is
completely distorted.
• The input of the mixer is not switched to line level. Switch the
input of the mixer to line level. If this is not possible, assign an
unsymmetrical (line) input at the mixer.
The amp is too quiet.
• A device that is operated in the loop causes level losses. The effects
pedal must be levelled by means of its input/output controller.

The amp sounds too dull
• The tweeter is switched off

Maintenance and care

The BassKick™ amps are maintenance-free. There are, however, some
basic rules, the compliance with which secures the high useful life of
your amp:
• Do always provide for a technically unobjectionable device periphery!
• Do always provide for free air circulation at the cooling surface of
your amp.
• Do in any case avoid heavy mechanical shocks, extreme heat and
the permeation of dust and moisture.
• Do meticulously observe the specifications of additional devices.
Do never connect outputs with too large levels (e.g. power
amplifiers) to the inputs of the amp.
• Do always check the existing mains voltage before connecting
the amp to the mains supply. In case of doubt, contact the stage
technician, caretaker or similar persons.
• Please do never try to repair your amp yourself! Even the exchange
of internal fuses should be carried out by an experienced technician
only.
• The housing surface or the metal surfaces are at best cleaned with a
soft dry cloth. Do in no case use alcohol or other solvents!
