1. Press the ON button.
2. Your diary will say, “Set your password.”
3. Say your password, clearly and distinctly, into

the microphone. You do not need to shout.

4. Your diary will say, “Repeat your password.”

Do so.

5. Your password is now saved. Your guard pet

will make a happy sound, and the diary will

pop open!

Press the ON button and wait for your diary to say, “Password, please.” Say your password.

• If your diary recognizes the correct password, your guard pet will make a happy sound, and the

diary will pop open.

• If you say the incorrect password – or you say nothing at all – you have two more chances to try

again. If the password is still incorrect, your guard pet will make an unhappy sound and the diary

will not open!

Your diary can only record a password that takes you a couple of seconds to say, so your

password should be short (and easy to remember!). If you name the pet that comes with

your diary, your pet’s name can be your password!

Make sure it’s quiet when you set your password! Any background noise may interfere

with your setting your password.

If you try to set a password and it is not saved, your diary will say “Password not set”,

and then open. The next time you open the diary, it will prompt you to set a password.

If the password is still not set successfully, the diary will prompt you again the next time

you open it. If, after three tries, the password still isn’t set, your diary will simply say

“Password not set” whenever you open it. If you want to try again, press the RESET

button and follow the instructions above.
