PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. (Please

save the carton for off-season storage.)

2. Make sure the heater is OFF before plugging the heater

into the outlet.

3. Place heater on firm, level surface.

4. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high

wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts,

this unit draws 12.5 Amps.

SAFETYMAX

TECHNOLOGIES

Your heater features two new revolutionary safety technologies,

the SafetyMax

SelfCheck Panel and the SafetyMax

Invisible Contact Sensor. Both safety features automatically

activate when you turn on your heater.

SafetyMax

SelfCheck Panel

The patented SafetyMax

SelfCheck Panel verifies that

the four safety features function, each time you plug in or

turn on your heater. The icon for each safety feature will

blink and turn off to indicate that the SafetyMax

SelfCheck Panel verification is complete for that safety

feature. In the unlikely event that one of the safety features

is not functioning, an icon illuminates letting you know that

a problem has occurred and the heater will not run. Please

refer to the descriptions below or the safety sticker attached

to your heater for corrective instructions.

SafetyMax

Invisible Contact Sensor

The patented SafetyMax

Invisible Contact

Sensor is an invisible infrared beam that

protects the front grill from potential hazards. If an object

interrupts the beam for three or more seconds, the heater

turns off and the above icon illuminates. Once the

obstruction is removed and the beam reconnects, the icon

turns off and the heater restarts.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY TECHNOLOGIES

Auto Safety Shut-Off

This heater is equipped with a patented,

technologically advanced, safety system that

automatically shuts off the current to the

heater when a potential overheat temperature

is reached and illuminates the corresponding icon. When this

occurs, you must reset the heater.
1. Turn the [Heat Control/Mode] to OFF (Power).

2. Unplug the heater and wait 30 minutes.

3. Plug in and turn ON (Power) the heater.

Back-Up Safety Fuse

This heater is equipped with a back-up safety

fuse. In the unlikely event that the heater

does not respond to an overheat situation, the

back-up fuse engages, the heater turns off,

and the above icon illuminates. If this occurs, the heater will

not reset or operate. Refer to the Warranty for additional

information.

Tip-Over Protection

This unit is equipped with tip-over protection.

If the unit is accidentally knocked over, it

instantly shuts off and the above icon illuminates.

Place the heater in an upright position and the

heater automatically restarts.

4-Hour Safety Timer

This unit is equipped with a 4-hour safety timer which is

activated when you turn on the heater. The built-in LED light

(Timer button) will illuminate letting you know the 4-Hour

timing period had begun. After four hours have expired, the

heater automatically shuts off. To turn the heater back on,

follow normal operating instructions.
NOTE: To deactivate the timer press the button (Timer) so

the LED light turns off, the heater will now run continuously

at full power.
