Remedy

The image is a “mirror” image, and
presents the same type of view as
when looking in your rearview or
side mirrors.

This is normal.

Troubleshooting

Camera image has wavy lines.

Possible interference caused by the
camera being mounted too close to
the audio antenna, or other
electronic accessory.

Relocate the accessory, or mount the camera per the
manufacturer’s specified location.

Camera image appears distorted
(straight lines behind the vehicle
appear curved in the image).

The camera uses a wide angle lens
to increase the viewing area of the
image.

This is normal. Never rely solely on the rear camera
image when backing up. Always look behind you
when reversing.

The rear camera image appears
“backwards” or “reversed.”

Rear camera startup delay

When shifting gears, there is a
delay in showing or removing the
camera image.

A short delay in displaying/removing the camera
image is normal. For delays longer than 1 minute, see
your dealer.
