PROGRAM TIMER RECORDING

Checking the Program Timer

Turn on the power (TV and VCR).

Set the TV to channel 3 or 4.

Press the MENU button.

The main MENU appears.

Press the SET button.

The programmed recordings are listed.

NOTE:

To display the program type or rating, press

the TYPE button after selecting the desired program
using the CH/TRACK

(or

j

) button.

When finished, press the MENU button to exit the
menu.

Press the POWER button.

The VCR power turns off and the timer is set to the
recording standby mode.

The Timer icon

Clearing the Program Timer

Follow steps

in “Checking the Program Timer”.

Press the CH/TRACK

) button to select the

program to be cleared.

Press the CLEAR button.

The erase confirmation screen appears.

Press the CLEAR button again. (To cancel the erase
procedure, press the SET button.)

The selected timer program is erased from the
program memory.

When finished, press the MENU button to exit the
menu.

Press the POWER button.

Changing the Program Timer

Follow the steps under “Clearing the Program Timer”
to erase the program that you wish to change.

Follow the steps under “Timer Programming” to add a
new timer program.

Using Timer Recording for Several
Programs

If two or more programmed recording times overlap on
the same day, the VCR will not begin recording a new
program until the previous program has ended (as shown
below).

Program Recording Order

TIMER SETTING NOTES:

If the programmed recording falls on a Saturday or a
Sunday, the Daily recording mode will not be possible.

œ

To select the A/V recording mode, press the INPUT
button instead of selecting a channel number.

œ

12:00 PM = noon; 12:00 AM = midnight.

œ

If the end of the tape is reached during timer recording,
the VCR stops and the power turns off automatically.

œ

If the power fails or the VCR is unplugged from the
AC outlet, the correct clock time and timer settings
are kept in memory for approximately 5 seconds.
After 5 seconds, the clock and program timer must
be reset when power is restored. Refer to INITIAL
SETUP to set the VCR.
