✓ Understanding Flashing Messages
When you first see a definition, notice the
upper right corner of the screen. Often either
THES
or
CONF
(or both) will flash briefly.
THES
means the word you looked up has a
thesaurus entry.
If you see
THES
flash, press THES to view the
thesaurus entry.
CONF
means the word you looked up has a
confusable. If you see
CONF
flash, press
CONF to view the confusables.
✓ Understanding Confusables
Confusables are homonyms, homophones
and spelling variants that are easy to confuse,
e.g. rain, reign, rein. If the word you looked up
is a confusable,
CONF
will flash once in the
upper right of the screen. Press CONF to
view the confusables.
