INSTRUCTIONS
Ages: 8+
Players: 2-4
Contents:
• 4 floating darts (2 yellow and 2 red)
• 1 floating target ring with flags
• Mesh storage bag
• Instructions
Objective:
Be the first team to score 10 points by tossing
the darts into the target ring.
Setup:
Attach the flags to the target ring. Place the
target ring about 30 feet away from you in the
pool. If your pool isn’t that big, place the ring
near the opposite edge of the pool from where
you are, or get out of the pool and throw from
the ground.
Game play:
Jarts Splash may be played with either two
players or four players divided into two teams.
Each player or team chooses a color of dart to
use throughout the game. A game consists of
a series of rounds. One round consists of all
four darts being tossed at the target ring. The
players stand together at the opposite end of
the pool from the target ring with all four darts.
The youngest player starts by throwing a dart
toward the target ring using an underhand toss.
Play alternates between the two players or
teams until all four darts have been thrown.
Scoring:
Quick Play Scoring:
After all four darts are thrown, score one point
for each one that lands inside the ring. Because
the ring floats and the darts bob up and down,
it’s possible a dart can land inside the ring,
bob under the surface and exit the ring. If this
happens, it still counts as one point.
Winner:
The first player or team to score 10 points wins.
Tournament Scoring:
A player or team must score exactly 21 points
to win. Count three points if a dart lands and
remains in the ring. Count one point if a dart
does not land and remain in the ring, but
touches the outside of the ring on approach, or
lands in the ring and bobs out of it. If a player or
team exceeds 21 points for the round, the score
for that round is deducted, not added. Play
continues until exactly 21 points are scored.
Winner:
The first player or team to score exactly 21
points wins.
Storage:
When play is finished, store everything in the
included mesh bag.
Safe Play Guidelines:
Jarts Splash can be played outside
safely. Be aware of your play area.
Never throw darts at people or pets,
and make sure the play area is clear
before you throw. Do not throw the
darts straight-up, over-hand or sidearm.
Never throw broken or damaged darts -
discard immediately. Do not throw darts
on hard or paved surfaces. Take extra
caution on windy days as the darts flight
path may be unpredictable. Safe play
means fun for everyone!
