ON OFF
1 Set the “USB/PLAY” switch on the cradle to the
“USB” position.
2 Press the “POWER” button on the cradle to turn
the power on.

USE AT DSC MODE
1 Plug the included USB cable into the cradle USB
socket.
2 Plug the AC power adapter connector into the
“DC IN 5V” socket on the cradle and then plug
the AC power adapter into the power outlet.

2 1 Turn your PC on.
2 Use the USB cable to connect the cradle.

3 Insert an xD-Picture Card into the camera.

4 1 Slide the Power switch to the side to turn the
camera on.
2 Select “¶” in “USB MODE” in the “SET-UP”
menu ( ➡P.60).
3 Slide the Power switch to the side to turn the
camera off.

5 Set the camera in the cradle.
6.2 CONNECTING TO A PC
h When the camera and PC are exchanging data,
the self-timer lamp blinks and the viewfinder lamp
blinks alternately green and orange.
h “¶ DSC” appears on the LCD monitor.
h Power save and Auto power off are disabled
during USB connection.
● ! Before replacing the xD-Picture Card, always disconnect the
camera from the PC. See P.79 for information on the
disconnection procedure.
● ! Do not disconnect the USB cable when the camera is
communicating with the PC. See P.79 for information on the
disconnection procedure.
Camera Operation
Connect the AC power adapter, USB cable or A/V
cable (included) to the camera directly.
