Air Handler

More than an
Indoor Companion

Your home’s air handler is more than the
indoor companion to your heat pump or air
conditioner; the proper air handler – such
as those from Fedders – will maximize the
indoor air comfort in your home, use less
energy and reduce your energy bills.

The air handler’s primary function is to

circulate air throughout your home; hot in
the winter, cool in the summer. The more
efficient your air handler is, the more
comfortable your home will be. With
air-handling capacities from 1-1/2 to 5 tons,
Fedders Air Handlers are rated in accordance
with the Department of Energy (DOE) and
the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
Institute (ARI) test standards so they can offer
the efficiency, reliability and durability you
need – with the reputation for high quality
and affordability that Fedders is known for.

A permanently lubricated permanent
split capacitor (PSC) motor in the
air handler adapts the air flow to your
home’s heating and cooling requirements;
providing more consistent temperatures
and improved air filtration throughout
the home.

The multi-speed blower also offers
quieter, vibration-free operation
and uses less energy than conventional
units that continuously start and stop
when the desired room temperature
has been reached.

Air handlers from Fedders can
integrate a full range of cooling coils,
including 13 SEER, enabling them to
be used with any Fedders 10, 12 or
13 SEER remote condensing and/or
heat pump units. The Fedders Air
Handler, combined with a Fedders
13 SEER Coil, can deliver considerable
energy savings.
