Advanced Audio Package (PCU)
• Available on XR models
• CDC40 Opera AM/FM stereo with 6-disc CD changer
and MP3 disc playback
• Improved clarity and greater power output with
a premium 7-speaker sound system
• Adds a user-adjustable 7-band equalizer and position
settings for optimizing the surround settings of the
center ambience speaker for better stereo imaging in
the driver’s seat, both front seats or all seats
• Large multi-function control knob is used to navigate
through and select menu items
Enhanced Driver Information Center
• Included in the Advanced Audio Package
• Menu-style graphical display provides access to audio
settings and system settings including trip computer
data (Board Computer)
• Dual trip computers (BC1 and BC2) can be reset
separately to monitor different time periods
• In addition to total travel time, the timer function can
track driving time excluding stops and driving time
including stops with the engine running
CDC40 BUTTONS AND CONTROLS
1. Press to turn the audio system on or off, rotate
to adjust volume
2. FM/AM: Switch to radio and toggle between
wavebands (FM and AM)
3. CDC: Switch to CD changer
4. MAIN: Return to the main display
5. Multifunction Control Knob: Rotate to move
forward and back among menu selections. Press to
confirm/execute selections.
6. INFO: Display the audio and system settings and info
7. SOUND: Fader, balance, bass, treble, preset equalizer
settings, position settings for the center speaker and
graphic equalizer
8. BC: Board Computer including dual trip computers
(BC1 and BC2) and displays for distance traveled,
average speed, fuel consumption, average fuel
consumption, range until empty and timer
9. Preset radio stations. Press and hold a button to
save currently tuned station. 1–6 are also used to
select the corresponding CD in the changer when
in CDC mode
10. Slot for CD insertion
11. SETTINGS (Audio): Speed-dependent volume
control, OnStar volume and system start-up volume
SETTINGS (System): Same as standard system plus
display contrast and day/night mode
12. Arrows: Tune in radio stations (manual tune with
up/down, seek with left/right) or select CD in changer
(up/down) and next/previous CD track (left/right)
13. LOC: Change the radio station seek sensitivity
(“Local” for low sensitivity)
14. Display CD Changer menu to load/eject discs from
different compartments
Additional functions and settings are available through the various menus,
including activation of the Autostore radio feature.
