Regular review of scientific research

and studies has led to the formation

of international safety guidelines and

regulations regarding limiting exposure

to this RF energy. This product emits

RF energy below the published limits

when operating in its maximum output

power mode and when used with Garmin

authorized accessories. These guidelines

use a unit of measurement known as the

specific absorption rate, SAR. The SAR

limit applicable to this device set by the

FCC is 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg), 1.6

W/kg by Industry Canada, and 2.0 W/kg by

the Council of the European Union.
To comply with FCC, and European RF

exposure compliance requirements, the

device should be used in its automobile

mount or with Garmin authorized belt clips

and holsters only. Use with other third party

accessories may not ensure compliance

with FCC, EU, or other local RF exposure

requirements. The actual measured values
