Work area

Keep work area clean and tidy. Before commencing

mowing, check your lawn to ensure that the area is

clean of debris such as stones and mulch. Remove all

obstructing material from the lawn, otherwise the hand

mower could pick up this debris and either damage the

cutting blades or eject it causing possible injury to the

user or other persons in the area.

Keep visitors away from the work area. All visitors

and onlookers, especially children and infirm persons,

should be kept well away from where you are working.

Do not let others in the vicinity make contact with the

mower.

Keep hands and feet well away from the cutting

blades. Even when you want to clean the blades, do

not insert your hands into the blade.

Store tools safely. When not in use, tools should be

locked up out of reach.

Do not force the tool. The tool will do the job better

and safer working at the rate for which it was designed.

Dress correctly. Always wear safety footwear when

cutting the lawn with this hand mower. Leather gloves

are also recommended when working outdoors.

Do not overreach. Keep your footing secure and

balanced at all times.

Look after your tools. Keep tools sharp and clean for

better and safer performance. Follow the instructions

regarding lubrication and accessory changes. Should the

hand mower not be functioning correctly, it should be

inspected by an authorized repair centre.

Tool use and care

Store idle tools out of the reach of children and do

not allow persons unfamiliar with the tool or these

instructions to operate the tool. Tools are dangerous in

the hands of untrained users.

Maintain tools. Check for misalignment or binding of

moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition

that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have

the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused

by poorly maintained tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly

maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are

less likely to bind and are easier to control.

Use the tool, accessories etc., in accordance with

these instructions and in the manner intended for

the particular type of tool, taking into account the

working conditions and the work to be performed.

Use of the tool for operations different from intended

could result in a hazardous situation.

Have your tool serviced by a qualified repair

personnel using only identical replacement parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the tool is

maintained.
