Avoidance Setup —select the
types of roads or areas you
want to avoid in routes. the
nüvifone avoids using these
items in a route unless there
is no alternative. See page 35 .
Change the Audio Settings
1. Tap > Settings > Navigation
> Audio .
2. Tap a setting to adjust it.
Voice Prompt —turn on
and off the vocal navigation
prompts.
Attention Tone —turn on and
off the tone that is sounded
before a navigation prompt.
Adjust the Proximity Points
Settings
1. Tap > Settings > Navigation
> Proximity Points .
2. Tap a setting to adjust it.

Custom POI Sets —turn on
and off the custom POI (points
of interest) sets you have
loaded in the nüvifone.
Safety Cameras —turn on
and off the Safety Camera
databases you have loaded in
the nüvifone.
Audio Notification —select
how you want to be audibly
notified when you approach
a custom POI or a safety
camera location.
Change the Units of Measure
1. Tap > Settings > Navigation
> General .
2. Select units of measure for
distance and speed, direction,
elevation, and temperature.
Turn On and Off Safe Mode
1. Tap > Settings > Navigation
> General > Safe Mode .
2. Tap Enabled to turn on safe
mode.
