Basic Imaging Profile (BIP)—Defines how an

imaging device can be controlled remotely, how an

imaging device may print, and how an imaging device

can transfer images to a storage device. For example,

BIP enables a mobile phone to control a digital

camera.

Basic Printing Profile (BPP)—Allows devices to send

text, emails, vCards, images, or other items to

printers. It does not need printer-specific drivers.

Dial Up Networking (DUN)—Provides a standard to

access the Internet and other dial-up services with a

Bluetooth wireless connection.

Handsfree (HFP)—Describes how a gateway device

can be used to place and receive calls for a handsfree

device. For example, a vehicle handsfree kit could use

a mobile phone as a gateway device.

Headset (HSP)—Describes how a Bluetooth enabled

headset should communicate with a computer or

other Bluetooth enabled device, such as a mobile

phone.

Audio/Visual Distribution Profile (AVDTP) for

streaming audio and video
