Saucepan bases

For optimum energy consumption dur-
ing cooking, only pots with flat or
slightly concave bases should be
used. When the pot is hot, the base
should rest evenly on the burner.

When purchasing new pots and pans,
ensure that they are suitable for use on
this type of cooktop.

Pot size

The diameter of the pot should be
slightly larger than the burner.
