Picture Quality
The PD5020 is truly a reference quality Plasma. With a 50%
increase in contrast ratio, you’ll be seeing the picture
“snap” like never before. And with the new
AccuCrimson™ filtering, the reds are the most accurate
available from any Plasma. With the latest in AccuBlend™
scaler technology, the PD5020D can display smooth
detailed images from virtually any source - composite
video, to UXGA computer resolutions, to any of the 18
modes of ATSC video available. Also, with technology
such as a full motion compensated 3D scan converter and
an auto sensing inverse telecine circuit (3:2 pull down), the
reproduction of film based sources will be smoother and
free of jitter like no picture you have ever seen before.

Multimedia Capability
This amazing device can handle virtually any source that
you can throw at it. Its split screen display capability
allows simultaneous display of multiple input sources to
support teleconferencing, workgroup collaboration, and
other multi-tasking uses. In addition, a digital zoom
function allows any portion of the screen to be magnified
to emphasize a point or highlight information.

Control Options
The PD5020D allows for several control options. First is
the wireless IR control, which can also be repeated
through an onboard flasher port. The second is RS232C
external control with full two-way communication for
verification of the execution of commands and to poll
status from the monitor.

Phosphor Protection Circuitry

Because Plasma monitors can have
phosphor burn from still images,
Marantz has included the most
advanced protection circuitry yet.
The AccuShield™ system has an
inverse display, a pixel orbiter and a
brightness limiter. In addition, there
is also a programmable pixel
refreshment system that employs a
scrolling white bar that activates
pixels without obscuring image
content to help reduce the
possibility of burn-in, especially on
still images. To see why the
PD5020D is “Flat out Better” visit
