Using your portable DVD
player

Playing a DVD or CD

To play a DVD or CD:
1
Slide the POWER switch to the On position.

The power indicator lights.

2 Slide the OPEN switch. The tray opens.

3 Place a disc onto the spindle. Make sure it

snaps into place.

4 Slide the tray closed. Your player starts

playing. Use the VOLUME +/- to adjust your
player’s volume.

5 Press STOP to stop playing the DVD or CD.

Using the DVD menu

A DVD is divided into sections called titles and
chapters. When you play a DVD, a root menu of
the disc appears on the screen. The contents of
the menu vary from disc to disc. Some DVDs
only allow you to select disc playback options
using the DVD root menu.

To access the DVD menu:

Press MENU during playback to display the
menu.

Password

Old Password

Use the number buttons
to enter the current
password.
NOTE: The default
password is 3308. This
password is always
effective even after you
have selected your own
password and changed
it. To avoid the
possibility of others
using the default
password to set the
parental level and
change the password,
we suggest you put this
manual in a location not
reachable by children in
your home. Some discs
can be limited
depending on the age of
users while some discs
cannot.

New Password

Use the number buttons
to enter the new
password.

Confirm New
Password

Use the number buttons
to enter the same new
password, then press
ENTER to confirm the
change.

Preference

Audio

Select the language you
want to hear the DVD
played in.
NOTE: This selection is
only available for discs
that are recorded in the
listed languages. If the
selected language is not
available, the player
plays the original
recorded language
contained in the disc.

Subtitle

Select the language you
want to view the DVD
subtitles in.
NOTE: This selection is
only available for discs
that are recorded in the
listed languages. If the
selected language is not
available, the player
plays the original
recorded language
contained in the disc.

Disc Menu

Select the language you
want to view the DVD
menu in.

Select the parental level

you want using the

with a lock-out function
or multiple rating levels.
Rating levels are listed
from the lowest level (1
KID SAF) to the highest
level (8 ADULT).
Press ENTER and enter
the four digit password.
Press ENTER again to
confirm the parental
level setting.
NOTE: The level of 8
ADULT
is the factory
default.

Default

Press ENTER to make
the settings return to the
original settings set at
the factory.
NOTE: The parental
setting is not affected by
the default reset
function.

Note

Both the DVD player and DVD are coded by region. These
regional codes must match in order for the DVD to play. If the
codes don’t match, the DVD won’t play. This player’s code is
region 1. DVDs with other regional codes cannot be played in
this player.
