I/OMagic PC PVR FAQ

Does this card accept video input from devices such as a VCR or
camcorder?
A. No, at this time, this device can only record from a TV source, such as

regular TV or Cable.

On the back of my card, there are “Comp”, and “S-Video” input plugs.
What are those for?
A. Those features are not supported on this version of the PC PVR.

I can’t hear captured audio or the audio is distorted.
A. Reinstall the latest sound card drivers. This problem could be with the

sound card you are using on the system. Try downloading the latest
version of the software for the sound card on the system. For example: if

you are using a SoundBlaster sound card, you'll want to go to Creative

Labs website for a new driver. You can find out what card you are using

by opening the computer system, locating the port where the speakers

are plugged in. This is the sound card and it should be marked as to what
manufacturer and what model it is.

A. Make sure you use the latest drivers for your graphics card. We

recommend that you do not use any generic driver that is built into

Windows 98SE. It is always better to use the drivers specifically written

for your graphics card. If your graphics card is built onto the motherboard,

go to the website for the motherboard/system vendor instead of the

chipset vendor.

B. Check cabling. Double check that the Video Out on your source is

connected to the correct port on the PC PVR card. If you are using a video

mixer or a splitter, disconnect this equipment and connect the video

source directly to the I/OMagic PC PVR input. Replace your video cables if

necessary.

C. Check DirectX certification. You may also need the latest version of

DirectX; this software helps your graphics card to create the overlay

image.
